Clyde Horace Brown, 51, of Fredericksburg, Virginia, formerly of this area, Royston, Georgia died Saturday February 16, 1974, in Washington, D.C. He was the son of the late Ace and Bertie Peeples Brown Elrod was born January 9, 1923 in Franklin County, Georgia. Surviving are three sons Billy Brown of Baxley, Georgia, Jerry Brown of Washington, D.C., David Brown of Forestville, Maryland; two daughters, Miss Bonnie Jo Brown and Miss Cindy Brown of Forestville, Maryland; a brother, Benjamin Brown of Marietta, Georgia; three sisters Mrs. Polly Shepherd of Fruitland Park, Florida, Mrs. Louise Higley of Syracuse, New York, Mrs. Rachel Fowler of Decatur, Georgia, two half sisters Mrs. Shirley Harbin of Loganville, Georgia, Mrs. Ellie Sue Lanford of Forest Park, Georgia and a stepmother Mrs. A.A. Brown of Carnesville, Georgia, two grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday February 21, 1974 at 2 p.m. at the Pruitt Funeral Home Royston, Georgia by the Rev Harold E. Jones. Burial will be in the Fowler Family Cemetery Canon, Georgia. The body is at the funeral home. The family is at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Fowler in Royston, Georgia.
