Ace Alexander Brown Sr, 71, died early Monday morning September 13, 1965, following an illness of several years. Mr. Brown was born July 24, 1894 a lifelong resident of Franklin County, Georgia, a son of the late Franklin Monroe and Lula Catrine Payne Brown. He was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church. Survivors; widow Martha Ann Taylor Brown of the home; four sons Clyde Brown of Washington, D.C., Benjamin Brown of Marietta, Georgia, Ace A. Brown Jr. of Jacksonville, Florida, and Glenn Brown of Carnesville, Georgia, four daughters, Polly Ruth Shepherd of Fruitland Park, Florida, Louise Higley, Michigan, Rachel Fowler of Decatur, Georgia, and Ellie Sue Lanford of Forest Park, Georgia; five brothers, Venson Z. Brown of Martin, Georgia, Luther Brown of Lyons, Georgia, Jake and Joe Brown, both of Rayle, Georgia, and W.R. Brown of Equilty, Alabama, and one sister Minnie Smith of Lyons, Georgia. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday September 15, 1965 at the Hunters Creek Baptist Church, Rev. Spence Phillips and Rev. Virgle Cleveland officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body is at the Ginn Funeral Home and will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Wednesday September 15, 1965.
