Mary E. Reed. Services for Mary Evelyn Reed, 89, of Old Mitchellsburg Road, Parksville, will be 2 p.m. Friday at
Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home by the Revs. Julius Hovane and John McNerney. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens. She died Wednesday at her home. Born Dec. 24, 1914, in Boyle County, she was the daughter of the late L.C. and Nancy E. Chambers Abbott. She was a homemaker and member of Parksville Christian Church. She was the widow of Otis G. Reed.
Survivors include two daughters, Francis Sims of Parksville, and Doris Presler of Louisville; two sons, Guy T. Reed of Perryville and Charles R. Reed of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three sisters, Dorothy Record, Edith Kidd and Hazel Brant, all of Danville; a brother, Manuel Abbott of Danville; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-greatchild. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Jones.
Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today. Memorials may go to the
Parksville Christian Church Building Fund.
