Christian Hyatt Cheatham, 63, of 1416 S. Brook St., was found dead at his home at about 1 p.m. Saturday. Death was due to a heart attack, according to Chief Deputy Coroner William S. Anderson. He was a farmer and short order cook. He was a Washington County, Ky. native. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Williams, of Rockville, Conn., and Miss Mary Jane Cheatham, Washington, D.C.; three sons, Donald Cheatham, Middletown, N.Y., Howard Cheatham, Franklin, Ky., and Sgt. Thomas Cheatham, U.S. Air Force; and four grandchildren. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Collins-Vest Funeral Home with burial in Mount Eden Cemetery, Washington County, Ind. Christian Hyatt Cheatham married 1st. 22 Dec. 1929 in Jeffersonville, Clark Co. In. & later divorced, Mary Elizabeth Thompson, & they had one son James Howard Cheatham (Maupin). Christian married 2nd. 25 Dec. 1938 in Scotchtown, Orange Co. N.Y., Mae Elizabeth Crans, & they had 2 sons & 2 daughters.
