Loren Garrett, age 88, passed away December 16, 1993 at Nephi, Utah.

Born January 12, 1905 in Nephi, Utah to Charles Henry and Emma Eliza Hawkins Garrett. He married Stella Anderson July 23, 1934 in Salina, Utah.

He was a member of the LDS Church and life-long citizen of Nephi. He was a retired car salesman and was an active member of the Nephi Lions Club for 35 years serving as president for one term, and was a Deputy District Governor for three terms and held many other offices with the Lions Club. He was chosen Grand Marshall for the Ute Stampede celebration last July.

He is survived by his wife of Nephi; one son, Neil Loren Garrett of Nephi; one daughter, Jana Hudson of Santaquin; seven grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; one sister, Ione Geraghty of Reno. Preceded in death by brothers, William H. and Rulon; sisters, Letty, Evelene, Edith, and Lucille.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, December 20, 1993 in the Nephi Stake Center, 351 North 100 West. Friends may call Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, 94 West 300 North, and at the church from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Burial in the Vine Bluff Cemetery, Nephi, Utah.
