Edith Garrett Manwaring, age 89, passed away February 19, 1992.
Born August 27, 1902, in Nephi, Utah, to Charles Henry and Emma E. Hawkins Garrett. Married G. Owen Manwaring, April 8, 1931, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Member LDS Church, Relief Society, M-Men Gleaner for 27 years. She had a great love of music, directed many choruses within the church. She greatly enjoyed art and took great pleasure in painting.
She is survived by daughter, Joan Bartyn, Phoenix, Arizona; son and daughter-in-law, Max and Janet Manwaring, Carlisle, Pennsylvania; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Ione Gareghty, Reno, Nevada; brother, Loren Garrett, Nephi, Utah. She was preceded in death by her husband, G. Owen Manwaring, brothers and sisters, Lettie, Evelyn, Rulon, William and Lucille.
Graveside services will be Saturday, February 22, 1992, 12 p.m., Redwood Memorial Estates Cemetery. Viewing Friday, 6 to 8 p.m. at the Redwood Memorial Estates Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road and one hour prior on Saturday.
