Kenneth Joseph Toschlog, age 86, of Richmond, went to be with the Lord, February 13, 2012 at Golden Living Center in Richmond. He was born May 6, 1925 in Fountain City, IN, the son of Carl B. and Lillian (Weiss) Toschlog.
Kenneth lived in Richmond most of his life, retiring as a carpenter foreman formerly working for Daily Construction, Cutter Construction and Oberle and Associates. He was a 55 year member of the Carpenter's Union Local #912 and a member of the First Baptist Church. Kenneth was an avid gardener, growing award winning Dahlias.
Survivors include three children: Darryl Toschlog of Greenville, OH, Kathy (Scott) Sweet of Richmond and Jerry (companion, Kathie Gunder) Toschlog of Centerville; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; sister, Mildred McMichael of Springfield, OH; brother, Lorin Toschlog of Richmond; and several nieces and nephews.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife of 23 years, Jessie Toschlog, on March 7, 2006; son, Larry Toschlog in 2006; brother, Verlin Toschlog; and two sisters: Thelma Matthews and Irene Baker.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 18, 2012 at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home with Reverend Phillip Hodgkin officiating. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Friday, February 17, 2012 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Falmouth.
