Margie Lorene Edwards, 74, of Hot Springs, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2012. Born February 6, 1938 in Pencil Bluff, Arkansas to the late Hershel Wellington and Eva Leonard Edwards, she was a member of Grace Apostolic Church of Hot Springs. She graduated from Oden High School and Quapaw Technical Institute with a degree in Practical Nursing. She worked for over twenty years at St. Joseph's Hospital and also at the glove factory in Mt. Ida until its closing. She was predeceased by a sister, Erma Jean Abernathy and a brother, James David Edwards.

Survivors include three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Marcus Edwards of Barbers Cut, Texas, William and Vera Edwards of Onalaska, Texas and Charles and Hermalee Edwards of Huffman, Texas; one sister, Janice Edwards of Hot Springs; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Gross Funeral Home Chapel. Pallbearers will be William Edwards, Marcus Edwards, Charles Edwards, Willis Sams, Bill Taylor, Leslie Jackson, Laron Evans and Ray Lawrence. Honorary pallbearers are Lake Hamilton Health and Rehabilitation Center and Montgomery County Nursing Home. Burial will be in Grenade Cemetery, Pencil Bluff, AR.
