Roberta and Wheeler were cousins. Wheeler's father. James Benjamin Wells, was the brother of Roberta's grandfather, Jonah Whitfield Wells.

The 1910 census shows Roberta "Birdie" (17) and Wheeler (19) had been married for 2 years and Roberta had one childbirth with no children living. This was Thomas Elick Wells.

The 1920 census shows Charley (30) and Roberty (26) living in West Court House, Muhlenberg County, Kentucky with the following children:
Bennie (8), Bernard (6), Barney (4), Burno (2 1/2), and Beatrice (9months)

The 1930 census shows Wheeler W. (39) and Roberta (37) living in Kirkmansville, Todd County, Kentucky with the following children:

The 1940 Census has W.W. (50) married, head of household, a farmer, living in Christian County, Kentucky and his son Bernard (27) and his wife Evoline (17) living with him. The 1940 Census in Todd County, shows Roberta (48), married, living with Burno (22) who is Head of Household and single. Also found living with Burno are his brother, Bennie (28) single, sister Beatrice (21) and single, also his brother in law Bernie Miller, (24) married to Bessie (19) and their two children, William (2) and Mary Ann Miller (4months).

From my Aunt Hazel and Brenda, Ma Wells (Roberta) lived with Burno and Ethelene when Brenda was born in 1946. Then Aunt Brenda says that Ma & Pa Wells lived back together until probably mid 1950s.
