George B Brown died on the Oregon Trail. According to his Father's diary: "the 13th we traveled 5 miles and encamped on the big Nimahaw (hear my son tuck colery about med day and dide about 10 or 12 o'clock that night and was buryed on the right hand of the road on the east side of the creak under a white oake tree.
Appears the Oregon Trail crossed the South Fork of the "Big" Nemaha Rv, at what became "Baker's Forde", about 9 miles north of present day Seneca, KS, for now, speculating burial site is near here.
