Elizabeth Brown was 14yrs 6mos old when she married John Vallely, who's age we don't know. Appears John Vallely was quite a bit older, as he had already acquired a fortune by 1854 as shown by Lane Country taxable property ledger. John and Elizabeth's son Edward was born in 1858. Elizabeth died on Jan 14, 1858 at 19yrs 6mos of age, at the time of or a very short time after her son Edward's birth, the year was only 14 days old. Edward is shown living with his Grand Parents, John and Mary Eleanor Brown in the 1860 census.

Of interest. DLC (Donation Land Claims) Note that a “Jno Vallerly DLC” is directly north of and adjoining “Jno. Brown DLC” as shown on Lane County survey maps.
