Lottie A. Wood, daughter of Sherman S. and Mary L. Wood, was born in Silverwood, Michigan, November 30, I908 and died at the Woman's Hospital, Flint, Michigan,
March 5, 1932.
Her home was in Silverwood until three years before her death when she moved to Mayville with her mother.
She graduated from the Mayville High School in 1926 and from the Caro County Normal in l927. She attended the State Normal College in Mt. Pleasant and received her life certificate in March 1931. She has taught at the Rumph
and East Dayton Schools and when she was taken ill was teaching at the Cottage School and had contracted to return another year.
She united with the M. E. Church at Silverwood when a small girl and transferred her membership to the Mayville Church two years ago. For four years she has been a member of the Mayville Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She buried her father December 29, 1927 and her mother December 19, 1931.
She is survived and mourned by two brothers, Lloyd S.
and Don K. Wood, and their families and by a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral was held from the M. E. Church Monday, Rev. Mullen officiating with burial in West Burlington Cemetery.
