She died Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2000 at Carlisle Hospital.
Born July 10, 1921 in Cumberland County, a daughter of the late Frank Mountz and Mary Keck Mountz Minnich, she was a retired employee of Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Carlisle.
Mrs. Thumma is survived by her husband of 54 years, Richard J. Thumma; a son, Lester of Camp Hill; three daughters, Joyce Staver of Brandon, Fla., Shirley Thumma and Wanda Thumma, both at home; two sisters, Stella Rhinehart of Carlisle Springs and Ethel Hockenberry of Carlisle; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Floyd Thumma, and a brother, Leo Mountz.
The Rev. Howard A. Kerstetter will officiate at services. Burial will be in Westminster Memorial Garden, North Middletown Township.
Friends may call Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
