ENDS LIFE AFTER ARGUMENT OVER GAME OF CARDS
CARLISLE, Feb. 2. - After an argument with his wife over a game of cards, Frank W. Mountz, 32, father of five small children, blew off the top of his head with a shot gun at his home on a North Middletown Township farm early this morning.
Mountz and his wife, Mary, had returned home after an evening spent playing cards at the home of neighbors. Soon after their return a quarrel started following which Mountz obtained his double-barrelled (sic) shot gun and told his wife that he was going to end his life.
Her entreaties failed to dissuade him, and before she was able to summon his brother, Elmer, who was asleep, Mountz had discharged the gun.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by the following children: Leora, Ethel, Leo, Stella and Cecil; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Levi Mountz; two brothers and two sisters, Elmer Mountz, Charles Mountz, and Miss Mary Mountz, of North Middleton Township, and Mrs. Pearl Hartman, of Middlesex.
Funeral services will be held at the home Thursday morning at 10 o'clock, with further services in the Lower Frankford Stone Church. Burial will be in the cemetery adjoining the church.
