Leonard William "Bill" Lantz, 78, of Jesup, GA, died Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at his residence after an extended illness. The Somerset, PA, native had lived in Wayne Co., GA, the past 32 years and was formerly employed with Jesup Tire Shop. He enjoyed gardening and taking care of his chickens.
Survivors are his wife: Shirley Waters Lantz of Jesup, GA, 4 daughters: Mary Ann (Clayton) Wells of Hinesville, GA, Joyce Foskey, Sandra (Donald) Johnson, Billie Jo Lantz, all of Jesup, GA, a brother: Carl (Flo) Lantz of Somerset, PA, 6 grandchildren: Grace Aldridge, Elizabeth Aldridge, Hunter Lantz, Austin Wells, Aspen Wells, August Wells, several nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be 11 A. M. Saturday, March 17, 2012, from the Bethesda Cemetery on Bethesda Road off of GA Hwy. 169 with Rev. Stanley Todd officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be: Hospice of South Georgia Employees.
Family will receive friends at the graveside.
