Ruppert was raised by her grandmother, the late Canzada King Burton.
She was the daughter of the late Clark Wilbur Lantz and Ruby (King)
Johnson. Mrs. Ruppert was also preceded in death by her husband,
Eugene E. Ruppert, in 1978; and a half-brother, William Custer. Mrs.
Ruppert had been self-employed as a private duty sitter. She was also
the housekeeper for the Paul Farm. She was a member of the Mount
Savage United Methodist Church. Survivors include her daughter,
Bonnie Paul, and loving son-in-law, Jim, Mount Savage; two
granddaughters, Kathy Ellen Paul and friend, Danny Mauzy, Maysville,
W.Va., and Amanda Miehelle Paul, Mount Savage; a great-grandson,
Dalton James Paul, Maysville, W.Va.; a sister, Zada Snider,
Johnstown; four brothers: Leonard Lantz, Florida; James Lantz,
Pennsylvania; Carl Lantz, Somerset, and Frank Lantz. Windber; two
half-sisters, Virginia "Ginner" Foy and husband Bob, Berlin, and
Alice Woolley, Somerset, and special friends, Carol and Sherri
Watkins, Donna Lashley, Melissa Reed, Scott Dennison and Ricky Glass.
Visitation was held Sunday at the George-Upchurch Funeral Home,
Cumberland. There will be viewing for one hour prior to the funeral
service at 2 p.m. Monday at Mount Savage United Methodist Church,
with the Rev. Rebecca Vardiman officiating. Interment, SS. Peter and
Paul Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart
