Milly married Jesse Hogue at the age of 19, on 2 Feb 1824 in Rutherford County, NC. They moved to Habersham County, GA before 1830, and in 1837, she left her husband and took her children to Alabama.
She ran a boarding house to support herself and her children until 1840 when she moved in with a Rowland 'cousin' (her mother was Mildred Rowland Lewis). After the death of her brother, Thomas A. Powell, and his bequest to her, she bought a farm, and got dragged into a legal wrangle between her brother, Thomas's estate and her 'cousin, Rowland.
In 28 Apr 1849, Milly married her former brother-in-law, Francis Logan, the widow of her sister, Huldah. They lived on his farm in Habersham in the 1850's, and then in Lumpkin county in 1860, and finally to White County where Mildred died.

Most of the info on Mildred's trials with her husband and her 'cousin' Roland were found in details of the court cases, Rowland et. al v. Logan (1847), and Roland v. Logan, Ex'r. (1850). The cases made it to the Alabama Supreme Court!
