Samuel was the son of my ancestors, SAMUEL & MARY (ALLING) DICKERMAN and brother of my ancestor, ISAAC DICKERMAN.
He was baptised in the Center Church in New Haven on 2 Jun 1745 and married Lowly Pardee 11 Feb 1773. His name appears on the records of the first meeting of the town of Hamden, CT. He was a selectman in 1786 & '87 and built a home east of Mill River.
Sgt. Samuel Dickerman served in the Revolutionary War in Captain Stephen Goodyears's Co. in the defence of New York and detailed to care for a sick comrade.
