ISAAC was the oldest son of SAMUEL & MARY (ALLING) DICKERMAN. He received six acres of land on the Blue Hills in the "distribution" in the Ninth Division. He married SYBIL SPERRY, daughter of DANIEL & ABIGAIL (IVES) SPERRY on 21 Aug 1765 in the Fair Haven Church.
Isaac served in the Revolutionary War in the Fifth Battalion, Wadsworth's Brigade, Col. Douglas, 1776. The battalion was raised June of '76, to reinforce Washington's army in N.Y. His term expired Dec. 25, 1776.
