Noelan Everett Letcher, son of Everett and Viola (Cummings) Letcher, was born October 1, 1936 in Alexandria, South Dakota. He attended school in Valley Springs, South Dakota. Following high school he enlisted in the United States Army on October 19, 1957, at Ft. Sheridan, Illinois. After his military service, Noelan returned to Sioux Falls where he began working at John Morrell. He worked there until 1977. Noelan was also a well-respected finish carpenter who was self-employed until he retired.
On May 29, 1992, he married Linda O'Neal at the Brandon Lutheran Church in Brandon, South
Dakota. The couple made their home in Brandon where Noelan managed the VFW for ten years.
In his free time, he enjoyed playing cards with family and friends, fishing, camping, and bowling. He was a loving husband and brother/brother-in-law who will be greatly missed by all those who shared his life.
Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Linda O'Neal-Letcher, Brandon, South Dakota, sisters Elaine Else, Brandon, South Dakota, Pat (Don) Lafrenz, Luverne, Minnesota, brother Don (Vi) Letcher, Hardwick, Minnesota, sister-in-law Karon Letcher, San Antonio, Texas, brother-in-laws Raymond "Skip" O'Neal & Gary F O'Neal, very special friends, the Aljets Family, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Noelan was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Delores Anderson, Carol Olson, and brothers James and Lester.
