Son of Henry Chase and Jane (Vunk) Chase

"Willard H. Chase, a life long resident of this community, passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. L. W. Davidson, at Schenectady, on Monday, September 7th, following an illness, extending over the past five years. Mr. Chase was the son of Henry and Jane (Vunk) Chase and was born in Cooperstown September 3, 1850. Following a life-time spent in Cooperstown and vicinity he went last April to Schenectady to be with his daughter. He was held in high esteem by a wide circle of friends who will keenly regret his passing. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. P. L. Adams of Syracuse, Mrs. Arthur Parrette of Cooperstown, Mrs. S. N. Harper of Bath, and Mrs. Carlton Murdock of Cooperstown; nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren ... committal service at the family plot of Lakewood Cemetery."
