George Washington Lynn was born 26 Jan 1892 in Raton, New Mexico. He was the son of Samuel W. Lynn and Mary Winter/s. George's father died in an accident in 1906.

In 1910, George lived with his grandmother, Melorah Lynn FAG #191513507; his aunt, Minnie Lynn; and his youngest sister, Dora F. Lynn, in Raton, Colfax County, New Mexico. By 1915, he was living in Colorado. George enlisted in the U.S. Army on 20 Jul 1918. He was discharged on 2 Jun 1919. He served at Camp Travis, TX.

For many years, George worked as a cook in Colorado. A portion of that time, George and his mother, Mary Havens, lived at the same address, which appears to have been at a rooming house.

George passed away 02 Sep 1960. He was buried in the same cemetery as his brother-in-law, Oscar Smith.
