Mrs. Catharine Rothwell wife of Gideon E. Rothwell died yesterday at Mt. Union, Pa. She was 80 years of age and leaves behind her aged husband, nine children, George C. Rothwell, of Blackbird hundred; Miss Annie E. Rothwell, Mrs. William E. Kough, Mrs. James A. Shaver, Mt. Union; Mrs. Thomas F. Archey, Huntingdon; Mrs. John A. Gayton, Lewistown; William Rothwell, New York: B. F. C. Rothwell, West Point Va.; Mrs. George C. Borst, Newvllle, Pa. The deceased was a daughter of the late George Collins of Thoroughfare Neck and sister of John P. Collins, of Smyrna. After she and Mr. Rothwell were married, they lived at the ''Levels" for five years and then moved to the John L. Shuster farm (which Mr. Rothwell purchased), Smyrna, now owned by E. G. Walls. They resided there for forty years, then spent three years at Collins' Beach, the last five years having lived at Mt. Union, Pa.
Interment will be made Mt. Union tomorrow afternoon, services being held at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Kough. Mrs. Rothwell had been in poor health for a number of years and death resulted from a complication of diseases.
