Julie was born with Cereberal Palsy though never did she let that get in the way of doing what she wanted to do. She attended Greenwood Elementary and Lindon Special Needs School. At the age of seven, she was the Utah Easter Seals Poster Child.
Her hobbies included playing games, writing,typing words she found in the dictionary and TV Guides, collecting and watching movies and listening to rock n roll music. She had an extensive 45 rpm record collection. Julie had a marvelous memory and could remember all her families birthdays and made sure she phoned them to wish a Happy Birthday each and every year.
She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She received her Golden Gleaner and attendance awards despite physical challenges. She enjoyed attending the Provo and Mt. Timpanogos Temples. Julie loved to visit with people wheter sitting on the porch, walking around the neighborhood with her crutches or attending church. She continued her zest for life while residing for the past 22 years at Heritage care Center. Survivors include her siblings: Dix Davis, Brent (Sonya)Davis, Paulene(David)Davis, Dennis (Kathleen) Gauger, Linda (Dale) Clark, and many nieces and hephews. She is preceeded in death by her parents and sister-in-law, Marjorie Davis.
Julie was lovingly cared for by the staff of Heritage Care Center for 22 years, and considered living there, like living on her own. She made many good friends there, though saying final good-byes to many as well. Julie was probably the longest resident of Heritage.
When Julie began to fail, Bristol Hospice took over her care.
A viewing for Julie was held at Anderson & Son's Mortuary in American Fork, Utah from 10:30 am - 10:30 am. Internment was held at the American Fork, Utah Cemetary.
