Parents...Herman August Gauger (1889-1963) Minnie Alvina Koehler (1894-1979)

Paul George Gauger was born on June 29, 1911 in New Hampton, Chickasaw, Iowa. His parents were Herman August and Minnie Alvina Koehler, both of New Hampton, Chickasaw, Iowa, as well. Paul had one brother Ralph Erland Gauger, who later married Rozella Swancutt.
Paul left Iowa to came out to Utah to work at the Geneva Steel Plant. Shortly later, he met and Marcelene Bennett. They were married on June 23, 1947 in Provo, Utah. They were later sealed for Time and All eternity on June 16, 1964 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Paul had one son, Robert Gauger through a previous marriage and Marcelene had three children, Dix Davis, Brent Davis, and Julie Davis, from a previous marriage also. Together Paul and Marcelene added three more children - Paulene Gauger, Dennis Gauger and Linda Gauger.

Paul suffered many health troubles including emphazema, and Diabetes. He died of a heart attack, while building a Christmas gift with his talented hands for his grandchildren. He died at the home of his dauther Paulene Davis in Everett, Snohomish, Washington.
on December 21, 1978 and was burried in the American Fork, Utah, Utah Cemetary on December 28, 1978.
