"Worcester---The funeral of Mrs. Elmer Boorn, who died Wednesday, July 25, at the home of her son, Rev. George C. Boorn, Machias, Me., was held at 2 p. m. Monday, July 30, at the Skinner funeral home here. Rev. Frank J. Reid, Johnstown, officiated and burial was in Maple Grove cemetery, Worcester. Mrs. Boorn, a former resident of this village and a member of the Laurens Eastern Star chapter, was born Dec. 19, 1860, at Middlefield Center, the daughter of George C. and Harriett (Huntington) Allen. The former Kate Lottie Allen was married to Elmer Boorn in 1882. Beside her son she is survived by a daughter, Eloise H. Boorn, 73 Center St., Oneonta."
