"Death of Mrs. S.P. Warlick"

"Mrs. S.P. Warlick, wife of Mr. L.F. Warlick, died at her home in Burke county Friday June 25 in her 62nd year. The death of Mrs. Warlick will be keenly felt by the people of her neighborhood, especially the poor, as she was ever ready to minister to their wants. The church has lost one of its principal pillars.

When Mrs. Warlick came to that neighborhood,about 40 years ago, she was the only member of the church in all that section. Her daily walk and Godly conversation was the means of converting her husband and they in harmony extended their influence until one by one the church began to grow and a prosperous church has been established, and dedicated in the name of Warlick's Chapel. Thus the influence of one consistent, upright christian. All who visited her in her sickness and death say that she left a dying testimony behind that her cares on earth were ended and the joys of a blissful eternity just begun."
