Pearl Mae Crowder was born the 2nd child of Garland Nelson Crowder and Martha S. Crossley Crowder. She was born on September 25, 1894 in Hart, Missouri. Pearl joined an older brother, James Walter Crowder who had been born on February 15, 1892. Pearl had two living younger siblings: Estelle J. Crowder born Jun 16 1897 and Oscar Crowder born March 16 1899. Pearl's mother Martha died on the same day Oscar was born. Jan 7 1901 brought a new mother to Garland Nelson "Doc" Crowder's four youngster. Melvinna Wilson Crowder & her husband would have six children:

Chester Crowder
George Nelson Crowder
Omer Vernon Crowder
Norman Fray Crowder
Buelah Violet Crowder
Baby Girl Crowder stillborn March 3 1913

Pearl's step-mother died a week after giving birth to a baby girl.

In about 1915, Pearl married Sherman Finley Yocum, son of Charles Baker Yocum and Mary Jane Hayes Yocum. Sherman & Pearl adopted twin girls who had been born on March 19, 1927: Thelma Mae and Velma Fay Yocum. From what I've found in research, one of the twins died before 1929. Sherman Finley Yocum died on March 23, 1932.

Pearl would then marry James Walter Dooley who died in 1956 in Los Angeles, California. Pearl died on Christmas Day of 1981 in Los Angeles California.
