Liz began her professional career in show business in Fort Worth with Bill Rose "Casa Manana" in 1936. after three years with Casa she left for Europe with a group produced by George Abbott - the tour was cut short by the outbreak of war in 1939. Returning to New York, she had feature parts in two very successful Broadway musicals produced by Abbott, "Too Many Girls" and "Pal Joey". Part of the cast of "Too Many Girls" went to Hollywood to make a movie of the show in 1940. With Elizabeth from the Broadway cast were Van Johnson, Desi Arnaz, and Eddie Bracken. After leaving Pal Joey, she went to Hollywood in 1941 doing feature dancing parts in other films. During the war she was the star in San Francisco night club shows and produced stage shows for Fox West Coast Theatre Chain. After 1946 she retired from professional dancing, but taught dancing in Panama; Washington D.C.; Shreveport, LA; Tokyo, Japan; Montgomery, AL; and Denver, CO.
