Mrs. Sligh, wife of the late Thomas David Sligh, Sr., died Friday, April 4, 1997. Born in Heath Springs, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Molly Harris Young. She was a homemaker and long-time member of Park Street Baptist Church. She recently attended Calvary Baptist Church.
Surviving are son, Thomas David Sligh, Jr. of Columbia; daughters, Martha Ellen Steele of Columbia; and Patricia Gale Moody of Charleston; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
