Seven year old Maggie E can be found on the 1900 US Census for Pleasant Hill, Lancaster, SC living with her parents William J, 36 and Mollie R, 31, and siblings, D (hard to read) C, 10, Clarence E, 9, Myrtle, 4, and William, 1. In 1910, the family is living in Cane Creek, Lancaster, SC and there are four more siblings, Eunice, 8, Viola, 5, Ruth,2 and Martha 1 month.

Found in The State 07 December 1970: Mrs. Margaret Jane Y. Knight, 77, of 4020 Bright Ave., died Sunday in her home. Mrs. Knight was a daughter of the late W. J. and Molly Harris Young. She was a member of Park Street Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Minor J. Knight; two daughters, Mrs. Doris Thain of Lexington and Mrs. Mary Francis Cook of Columbia; five sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Dowdle of Lancaster and Mrs. Eunice Hagins, Mrs. Viola Coleman, Mrs. Ruth Bouknight and Mrs. Martha Sligh of Columbia; and a brother, W. F. Young of Columbia. A son, Howard A. Knight, died in July. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. in Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Robert L. Dencen and the Rev. Paul Wheeler. Burial will be in Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens.
