Mr. Edward Joseph Schneider, of Devine, Texas, passed away Wednesday, September 2, 1964. Mr. Schneider, born February 9, 1897, was the son of Mary Halbardier Schneider and Frank Xavier Schneider.

Survivors include his wife, Annie Jungman Schneider; three sons, Cyril R. Schneider of Premont; Elmer Schneider of Devine; and Jack Schneider of Refugio; four daughters: Lorine Schneider Rihn of Devine; Elnora Schneider Wilkinson of San Antonio; Vera Schneider Griffo of Corpus Christi; and Sue Schneider Hall of Redding, California; one brother, Emil Schneider of Devine; three sisters: Annie Schneider Bohl and Dora Schneider Bohl, both of Devine; and Helen Schneider Jungman of Castroville. Also 21 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 9:30 a.m., Friday, September 4, 1964, in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Devine. Burial was in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Devine, Texas.

"The first baptism in the newly established parish was that of Edward Joseph Schneider, son of Mrs. and Mrs. Frank Schneider, on February 28, 1897, before the church was built."
