OBITUARY :
GOLDIE MARIE STOUFFER, 90, of 10116 Sharpsburg Pike, Hagerstown, Maryland, and formerly of Beaver Creek, died on Tuesday, February 14, 2006 at the Washington County Hospital.

Born November 10, 1915 in Leitersburg, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Herman David and Katherine Alice Sheffler Barkdoll.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Samuel Stouffer on November 3, 1985.
She received her Cosmotology Degree at the Award Beauty School.

She was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Funkstown, Maryland, and taught Sunday School.

She was a member of the Beaver Creek Homemakers. She was a former member of the B-Square Sunday School Class, the Leithersburg Senior Citizens, the Funkstown Senior Citizens, and the Apian Society of Hagerstown.

She is survived by three daughters, Patricia C. Martin, and Jean M. Weaver, both of Hagerstown, and Janet L. Reese of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania; and seven sisters, Helen Lung, Mary Clever, and Joann Clark, all of Hagerstown, Kathryn Nave, Maxine Smith, and Charlotte Shank, all of Fairplay, Maryland, and Janet Norris of Frederick, Maryland; one brother, Walter Barkdoll of Smithsburg, Maryland; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Edna Carter, and Elizabeth Grove; and six brothers, Alfred Barkdoll, Russell Barkdoll, Orville Barkdoll, Francis Barkdoll, Arthur Barkdoll, and James Barkdoll.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Funkstown. Rev. Darrell L. Layman will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.

Family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.

Family requests omission of flowers, and memorial donations to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 24 E. Baltimore St., P. O. Box 148, Funkstown, Md. 21734.
