Mrs. Grove was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Frederick. She had been employed by Zimmerman's Florist, where she retired in 1987.
surviving besides her husband are one son, Steven Maurice Grove of Frederick; two daughters, Anita Kay Grove, Christina Marie Grove Roop, both of Frederick; one brother, Walter E. Barkdoll of Wolfsville; eight sisters, Goldie Marie Stouffer, Mary Catherine Clever, both of Hagerstown, Helen Luella Lung of Smithsburg, Charlotte Louise Shank, Kathryn Alice Nove, Maxine LaRue Smith, all of Fairplay, Joann Barbara Clark of Hagerstown, Janet Lorraine Norris of Frederick; one granddaughter, Edna L. Carter; and six brothers, Alfred G. Barkdoll, Russell S. Barkdoll, Orville H. Barkdoll, Arthur R. Barkdoll, Francis O. Barkdoll and James A. Barkdoll.
Friends may call noon-9 p.m. Sunday, April 23, at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, April 24, in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Stephen Larson will officiate. Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.
