Collins, Nelson Miles, age 80 years, of Box 326, Uniontown R.D. 4, died suddenly in the Uniontown Hospital, Tuesday, Dec. 12, 1972 at 5:33 a.m. He was a member of VFW Post Uniontown; the Menallen Grange 1052; Odd Fellows 499, Ohiopyle; the UMWA Local 6288, District 4; and was a World War I veteran. He was a member of the Meadow Run Church, Ohiopyle. He was a son of the late Isaiah and Lydia Boyd Collins. He is survived by his wife, Sylvania Bryner Colllins; one son, Miles Collins of Uniontown R.D. 4; two daughters, Mrs. James (Norma) Bierbower of Charleroi; Mrs. Richard (Wilma) Rittenhouse of Smock; four grandchildren; one brother, Eugene Collins of Ohiopyle. Friends are being received in the Jerome W. Shell Funeral Home, 164 S. Mt Vernon Ave. today until 2 p.m., the hour of service with Rev. Floyd McFarland of the Christian Missionary and Alliance Church officiating. Interment in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
