Ellis Wilmer Wilcox, 93, of the Sunnydell area near Rexburg, died Dec. 20, 1992, at his home.
He was born Oct. 19, 1899, at Coyote, Utah, to David Oswell and Frances Melissa McCullough Wilcox. He moved to the Sunnydell area when he was 13, and had lived there since. He attended schools in Archer and at Ricks Academy in Rexburg, where he played on the first Ricks College football team.
On May 8, 1935, he married Elsie Grover in the Logan, Utah, LDS Temple. He and his brothers farmed and ranched in the Rexburg area.
He was an active member of the LDS Church.
Funeral services were held today in the Archer-Sunnydell Church with Bishop LaMar Wilcox officiating. Burial was in Archer-Sutton Cemetery under the direction of Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg.
