Obituary from flammfh.com:
Janice Mary Wilcox, beloved sister, aunt, and friend to all, passed away peacefully on June 5th, 2021, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Jan was born February 7th, 1940, to Ellis and Elsie Wilcox. She attended Archer Elementary and graduated from Madison High School and Ricks College. Her life was spent serving others. She was caring, compassionate, (and after her morning Pepsi), delightful to be around!
As a strong and independent woman, Jan was the Assistant Director of Financial Aid and Scholarships at Ricks College. In this capacity she had the opportunity to help thousands of students. Jan found great satisfaction in nurturing. In her spare time she could be found with a book in hand and more often than not a "grandchild" snuggled up next to her as they read a favorite story together.
In her younger years Jan was somewhat of a world traveler, and even as she grew older she was always up for a scenic drive or adventure with friends or family. She loved collecting things including dolls, antiques, flashy rings and necklaces. She also loved her years of service in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and through that service was a source of help and hope to many.
Jan is survived by her sisters, Sharon Anderson and Mae Niederer, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Frances Price, and brother, LaMar Wilcox.
A viewing will be held at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg from 5:30 - 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 10th. Funeral services will be held at the Archer/Sunnydell Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Friday, June 11, at 11 A.M. The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 10:45 prior to the service.
