Junction, Utah

Our sweet mother, Frances Marie Wilcox Price, 77, passed away April 5, 2014 at her home in Junction. She was born July 31, 1936 in Archer, Idaho to Ellis Wilmer and Elsie Grover Wilcox. She married Harrison DeMille Price, December 11, 1959 in the Idaho Falls Temple. He preceded her in death December 4, 2007.

Mom was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings over the years, including president of the Relief Society and Primary. She taught many classes in the community and also for church groups. These classes were for cooking, nutrition, crafts, sewing and upholstery.

Mom worked as an extension agent in Piute and San Juan counties for 26 years, where she was in charge of the 4-H program. She organized and ran 4-H camps for many years. She taught WIC nutrition and CAP classes. She received the Child Advocate of the year in 1998 from the Utah Chapter to prevent child abuse.

Mom was the town recorder for Junction, on the planning and zoning committee for Piute County, and a member of the Junction town board. She taught special education at PHS. She also organized and ran a school for handicapped and special needs children in Lordsburg, New Mexico.

Mom had a drapery and upholstery business and was quite successful. Mom was always busy catering for ward and community events. She was a member of the Kitchen Cuties and performed with them for many years. They entertained all over Utah.

She was an amazing woman and the best mom ever.

She is survived by her children: Mitchell (Sheila) Price, Richfield; Kimberly (Todd) Bossard, Ashton, ID; Walter Price, Robert Price (Bradan Morrill) and Mark (Sheri) Price, all of Junction; Brandon (Lara) Price, St. George; 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; siblings: Sharon Anderson, Idaho Falls, ID; Janice Wilcox, Lamar (Judy) Wilcox, and Mae Niederer, all of Archer, ID.

Also preceded in death by parents; brothers-in-law, Howard Anderson and Phillip Niederer.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 10, 2014 at 12:00 Noon in the Circleville 1st Ward Chapel, where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Junction Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
