Mr. Pike formerly lived near Steele and his wife, Mrs. Hazel Pike, who survives, taught in the local school.

Leonard C. Pike, 72, of Pocahontas, Ark. died at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Walnut ridge July 10, after having been in ill health for several months. Mr. Pike was born in Union Town, Ky September 22, 1896, the son of Robert and Mary Jane Kirek Pike and in his early years his family moved to Pemiscot County where he spent most of his life.
Before retiring and moving to Pocahontas, he had been a farmer and clerk.
Services were held Saturday morning at McNabb's Funeral Chapel in Pocahontas with Rev. Patrick Lynch and Rev. James A. Chandler officiating. Burial was in Masonic Cemetery there.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Hazel Carrol Pike of the home; two brothers, M.L. Pike of Hayti and N.F. Pike of Charleston, Mo. and several nieces and nephews.
