W. N. Arthur Dies Following Sudden Illness.
Russell-William Norman Arthur 87, of U.S. 23, Russell, died at 3 p.m. Friday in a Huntington hospital following an extended illness.
Born May 5, 1880, at Marmet, W.Va. he was a son of the late J.C. and Amelia King Arthur. He Had been a resident of Russell since 1905 and was a conductor for the Chesapeake & Ohio Railway, Huntington, Divison, before retirement.
He was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Tabnernacle, Indian Run Road, Flatwoods.
Surviving are three sons, A. E. and Joseph Arthur both of Flatwoods, and H. C. Arthur of Atlanta Ga.; one daughter, Mrs. Lucille Cochran of Wurtland; one brother John Arthur of Marmet, 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
The body is at the Carman Funeral Home in Russell.

RUSSELL-Funeral services for William Norman Arthur, 87, of Rt. 23, Russell, who died Friday, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Carman Funeral Home Chapel in Russell by the Rev. Bennie Grizzle. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. today.
