He passed away on Thursday, Nov. 9 in Flower Mound.
He was born June 11, 1924 in Trenton, Texas to David and Effie Holton. He served in the United States Navy as a coxswain in the South Pacific Theater during World War II. He married June Delores Dye June 13, 1942 in Lubbock. She preceded him in death Aug. 9, 2003. They were long time members of First Presbyterian Church of Lubbock.
A. B. worked for Southwestern Public Service Company for 33 years before retiring in 1986 as an Engineering Estimator.
Survivors include a son, Leslie Holton of Flower Mound; a daughter-in-law, LaFonda Holton; grandson, John Holton; granddaughter, Jennifer McKoy and husband, Doug McKoy; great-granddaughter, Caden Holton; brother, Alfred Holton; and two sisters, Connie Dean and Janelle Padgett.
