Mr. Robert S. Cook, age 71, of Atlanta, died Friday, October 17, 2003. Funeral Services will be held 11 AM, Monday, October 20th from Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home & Cemetery in Marietta. Dr. Jim Collins and Bob Tyler officiating. Interment, Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Cook has lived most of his life in Atlanta. He retired from the I.U.E.C. Local #32 in Elevator Construction. He was Past Master of Inman Lodge #637 F&AM in Mableton, W.M. Leroy Duncan Lodge #262 F&AM in Atlanta. He was a member of the Smyrna Order of Eastern Star #393, Chapter Dad Panthersville Demolay and Advisory Board East Point Rainbow Assembly. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He played Santa Clause at Peachtree Christian Church, Freeman C. Poole Senior Center, Noonday Baptist Church and several other locations for friends and neighbors. He loved his family and friends. Surviving are wife, daughter and son, son-in-law, 2 grandchildren, several siblings, and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Manual and Lorine Cook, and brothers, Frank Cook, Roy Cook, H. Durwood Cook and James O. Cook. Family will receive friends from 2 til 8 PM, Sunday at Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home, 770-432-0771.
