Susannah Garlick married John Fleming Wakefield on 5 Aug 1838, in Providence, Bedford, Pennsylvania. They moved to Nauvoo, Illinois, and had 6 children: Erastus Snow Wakefield (b. 29 Jun 1839), Elizabeth Elliott Wakefield (b. 29 Jun 1843), Thomas Garlick Wakefield (b. 16 Jun 1845), John Fleming Wakefield ll (b. 21 Aug 1847), Mary Cashman Wakefield (b. 20 April 1850)and Joseph Buck Wakefield (b. 12 Jun 1852). Then John died in the Nauvoo area. Susannah left Nauvoo with her 6 children. On the way across the plains, she had their 7th child, Sarah Ellen Wakefield. She eventually arrived in Springville where she met Rees William Davis. His first wife died after they arrived in Springville. So, Rees and Susannah married on 11 April 1860. Rees died on 4 Aug 1860. He never saw his son, James David Davis, born 24 Apr 1861.
