Edward G. Dieter, 72, Robesonia, died Sept. 20, 2009, of natural causes in St. Joseph Medical Center.
His wife, Anita (Hill) Baumer-Dieter, died Sept. 3, 2008.
Born in Kenhorst, he was the son of the late Lynton R. and Carrie M. (Hainley) Dieter.
He was a graduate of Reading High School.
He was a truck driver for various companies.
He served in the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by daughter Melody F., wife of David Henne, Denver, Pa.; two brothers, Lynton H. Dieter and Richard D. Dieter; two sisters, June Gehring and Jeanie Hafer; and several stepchildren. Also surviving are three grandchildren: Jesse John, Adrianna John and Brooke John.
He was predeceased by three sisters: Mary Yerger, Betty Donton and Charlotte George.
Graveside services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in Pleasant View Cemetery, Sinking Spring.
