Erwin or Ervin C Treadwell was the son of Oscar A Treadwell 1834 and Esther Jones. Both of his parents moved to Wisconsin from New York State. His parent married in 1858 in Plymouth, Sheboygan, Wisconsin.

Erwin married Jessie Alice Higgins on November 4, 1885. The couple lived in Sheboygan County, Wisconsin. They had one child Fremont 1887.

Erwin C Treadwell died on Wednesday about 9 am after a long illness at his home on Crystal Lake Road, a short distance north of Woodlawn Cemetery. He was born on Feb 14, 1861 in Sheboygan and lived 69 years. On Nov 4, 1885 he married Jesse Higgins and they always lived in this area. He leaves his wife, one son, Fremond of here and 2 grandchildren and 2 brothers, William and George in Fond du Lac. The funeral is Saturday, September 7 at 1:30 pm (today) from Wittkopp's Funeral Home with burial at the Greenbush Cemetery.
