Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Rob Lindley, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery by Wallace Funeral Home.
Mrs. Harris was born Aug. 25, 1926, to Palmer and Carrie Appling in Childress. She graduated from Slaton High School in 1943 and attended Texas Tech University. She married Edward Lee Harris on Oct. 4, 1947, in Slaton. They lived in Hart until 1969, when they moved to Tulia. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Tulia.
Survivors include her husband; a son, David Harris of Midland; a daughter, Jan Wilson and husband, Scott, of Houston; two granddaughters, Caroline Wilson and Lauren Wilson, both of Houston; two sisters, Mary Davis of Plainview and Elouise Jones of Lubbock; and three brothers, Pat Appling of Lubbock, Don Appling of Plainview and Jon Appling of Kerrville.
The family suggests memorials be to First United Methodist Church, 119 N. Briscoe St., Tulia, TX 79088.
