Former Interurban Ticket Agent, Justice of the Peace Dies.
Joseph G. Mounts, 90, died at his home, 804 Third, Saturday morning. Mr Mounts was a former justice of the peace and a ticket agent for Interurban lines, and farmed at one time. He was a member of the Christian church. Mr. Mounts was born in Bartholomew county, Sept 18, 1864, the son of James S. and Mary Akers Mounts. He is survived by a brother George S. Mounts of Route 4, and seven nieces. His wife Dora A. Mounts, died Jan. 17, 1947. Funeral services were conducted at 2 o’clock Monday afternoon at the Hathaway funeral home by Dr. T. K. Smith. Burial was made at City cemetery.
