MRS. MOUNTS DIES SUDDENLY
Local Woman, 78, Expires After Doing Shopping Down Town
Mrs. Dora A. Mounts, 78, wife of Joseph G. Mounts, 635 Eighth street, died unexpectedly at 10:50 o’clock this morning at her home. She had been down town shopping and had started home when it became necessary for her to stop and rest. She was taken home and died within a short time. Mrs. Mounts was born in German township on Aug. 11, 1868, the daughter of I. N. G. and Anna Smock. She was an active member of the Christian church. Funeral services have been set for 1:30 o’clock Monday afternoon at the Hathaway Funeral Home, conducted by Dr. T. K. Smith, pastor of the Christian church. Burial will take place at City cemetery. The family requests that no flowers be sent. The casket will be open Saturday evening at the funeral home until time of the services. Besides the husband, she is survived by a sister, Mrs. George Mounts, north of Taylorsville, and a brother, Lon Smock, who resides north of the city on Road 31.
