John Eldridge Mainord, 65, died last night at his home after an illness of several months. He was a retired insurance salesman and for forty years had worked for the Metropolitan Insurance Company. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Sue Mainord, one son, Paul H. Mainord, one daughter, Mrs. Roy Thoren, Kansas City, Mo., two brothers, Alphis Mainord of Jackson and W. M. Mainord of the U. S. Army; two sisters, Mrs. Ella Flake and Miss Dorothy Mainord, both of Jackson. Funeral services will be held at Smith Funeral Chapel tomorrow at 4 p. m., with Rev. George Crawford officiating.
