HENRY WEETS was one of twelve children born to Henry and Katherine (Jansen) Weets on February 28, 1936 in Avoca, Minnesota. At a young age, he moved with his family to a farm near Harris, Iowa where he attended school. Upon completion of his education, he helped his father on the farm. He also drove truck, hauling gravel as part of the family business. In October, 1956, he was united in marriage to Alice Dather in Sibley, Iowa. Following their marriage, they lived in Ocheyedon, Iowa. They moved to Minnesota for several years before returning to Iowa. Two years later they moved back to Minnesota to farm near Russell. In 1973, Henry moved to Kerkhoven, Minnesota where he operated a trucking business. In the spring of 1983, he moved to Holland, Minnesota until 1988 when he moved to rural Woodstock, Minnesota where he currently resided. During this time, he farmed and drove truck until retiring in 2001. On Sunday, February 5, 2012, he was taken to the Pipestone County Medical Center where he died that same day at the age of 75 years, 11 months, and 8 days.
